Accra Beach, Rockley, Christ Church, Barbados. Where people play.
Over the decades this beach has developed and progressed from a lovers’ hang-out and hustling area to a vibrant commercial area with some regular surfing.
Chicken George, where I get my limeade, is now world-renowned as the place for friendly chatter and reasonably priced drinks. The booths here sell clothing, food and drink and souvenirs.
Dominoes, football, and some major chilling happens this side of the life-guard station. Here you might sometimes find the Saw Player. Barbados’ successful fast food eatery Cheffette, is right across the street.
Accra Beach is a white sand beach with sparkling clear water.
The beach is a very popular South Coast beach, also known for generations as Rockley Beach. So we have Accra Hotel right on the beach and Rockley Beach Resort a little further away.
This beach follows on from Zone 1 and Zone 2. It is at the other end of the Boardwalk travelling eastward.. This beach is where I go for decision-making. It is where progress is made. It is my Zone 3.
